The Great Commission:

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20

LifePoint Global Missions looks outward, across the world, with the “Great Commission” as a guiding factor. Over the past 10 years we have sent short term mission teams to the slums of Nairobi, Kenya and the most southern state of Chiapas in Mexico. Our goal is simple, show the love of Jesus Christ through our presence. Our teams have provided medical assistance, shelter and building improvements, classrooms, bathroom facilities, playground equipment, church grounds and landscaping improvements, painting, fresh water storage, and many other smaller projects. We have participated in inner slum revival meetings, led worship and prayer services, and trekked to remote villages to spread His Love. The most important project we have undertaken however is that of building trusting and long lasting relationships with the people we have met along the way. By showing a consistent commitment to the people of Mexico and Kenya we have created a level of trust that allows us to work side by side with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Our yearly short term mission trips are open to the attendees of Lifepoint Minden and Incline, and CenterPoint Christian Fellowship in Dayton. We also encourage members of other congregations to inquire about the requirements and the details of the application process.

The Africa trip is usually scheduled for late spring or early fall and the Mexico trip in early summer. This year’s Africa trip is already full and will depart in September. Check back here for further information on Mexico dates and applications.

No special skills are required. As part of the process, each team member attends training sessions prior to the trip in order to prepare them for the experience. Training includes cross cultural differences, fund raising and support, travel tips, team building, flexibility in stressful situations, and much, much, more.
